Annually, 220 female students are enrolled in the BSc Nursing courses across six College of Nursing institutions within the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). The admission process is highly competitive and is primarily based on merit in the NEET-UG examination. In addition to academic performance, candidates undergo a thorough evaluation designed for nursing officers in the Indian Armed Forces. This comprehensive assessment includes a meticulous medical examination to ensure that candidates meet the exacting health standards required for nursing roles within the Armed Forces. Following these evaluations, a merit list is meticulously compiled, featuring candidates who not only demonstrate academic excellence but also meet the stringent medical fitness criteria. This selection process emphasizes the commitment to recruiting skilled and physically fit individuals for nursing roles in the Indian Armed Forces.
